Jodi is a Writer, Actor & proud ACTRA member. She has graced the TV screen in television shows such as Paranormal Witness, Fear Thy Neighbor, Forensic Factor, Saving Hope, Extreme Babysitting and more. She can be seen & heard in numerous National Television & Radio Commercials including McDonald's, ONA, Kellogg's, Subaru, Knorr & Wonderbread; just to name a few.​

 

Jodi’s writing journey began in the controlled chaos of a hospital emergency department, where she spent years documenting patient stories as a Registered Nurse. Known for her concise and compelling charting, she was once the only member of a healthcare team subpoenaed to testify in court on behalf of a battered victim—a moment that revealed the power of words to inform, persuade, and leave a lasting impact. That experience also revealed something else: she had stories of her own to tell.​

 

Drawing on more than 25 years of frontline nursing experience and a parallel career as a television actor, Jodi writes grounded, character-driven stories featuring perfectly imperfect female protagonists navigating complex social and medical landscapes. Her work blends authentic healthcare realities with compelling dramatic fiction, creating emotionally rich narratives that walk a tightrope between truth and imagination.

Her award-winning feature screenplay, 12 HOURS, has garnered multiple accolades, including Best Unproduced Feature Script at the Montreal Independent Film Festival and Best Script at the Chicago Indie Film Awards.​

 

An honours graduate of a screenwriting program, Jodi has found her creative niche at the intersection of medicine and storytelling, bringing an authentic and distinctive voice to stories that challenge convention and illuminate the human condition.​
